Louis Buff Parry  was born in the southeastern San Francisco Bay Area at the end of 1947, Dec 28. He continued his education in the US Air Force learning to first systematically detect embedded sound patterns and codes in Radio Ops, and later to become a member of the Pacific Ground Electronic Engineering Installation Agency. Mr. Parry studied at San Jose State University, Carleton University in Ottawa, and taught in four faculties at the University of Regina. Mr. Parry still occasionally teaches at the University of Alberta and at Saint Stephen's College, and guest lectures at universities, museums, and other venues around the world.

Louis Buff Parry is  bi-national, American and Canadian.

Through the spiritual traditions of his parents, he has been from birth immersed in Sufism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Jesuit catechism. In the scientific and other worlds, Mr. Parry developed expertise and vocations in a number of areas.  His Leonardo da Vinci expertise has brought him around the world a couple of times on a speaking tour and brought about the recognition of his body of work. Mr. Parry is also an inventor of all sorts of foods and devices; a published poet; painter; university instructor; the president and CEO of two companies; he was a dairy farmer; founded and chaired three non-profit institutions; and so forth. Mr. Parry is a member of some assorted associations and advisory committees including the Iranian Geographical Association, the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Government of Algeria, the Spirit of Edmonton Initiative, and  a guest lecturer in four University of Alberta departments and faculties: Modern Languages, Islamic Studies, Education, Faculty of Medicine/Family Medicine. He occasionally teaches a full credit upper level interdisciplinary course at the University of Alberta that is offered by the on-campus Saint Stephens College.
