Dr. Arlan Andrews, Sr. He is the author of the recently released "Killarumyoq," which is the Peruvian shadow machine. Who built it, when and why? Arlan brings his engineering eye to analyzing this sculpture. He measured it, and he had Brien Forester return to take other measurements. It is part of a rock outcropping, and it was turned into a complex. There is a "shaman's seat" too. Did all of these features work together to give people the seasons? What do the shadows say about the cultures?
Arlan also recently published the third novel in his "Thaw" series. These novels are a new way to express at sci fi literature. The setting is a futuristic look at how people will deal with the next Ice Age.
Arlan has had a long association with the AAPS (ancient artifact preservation society) annual conferences. He will be a speaker this year.
Tonight, Monday on FADE to BLACK: Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at SETI, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, joins us to discuss their hunting for Aliens.
Dr. Seth Shostak developed an interest in extraterrestrial life at the tender age of ten, when he first picked up a book about the solar system. This innocent beginning eventually led to a degree in radio astronomy, and now, as Senior Astronomer, Seth is an enthusiastic participant in the Institute’s SETI observing programs. He also heads up the International Academy of Astronautics’ SETI Permanent Committee.
SETI, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, is an exploratory science that seeks evidence of life in the universe by looking for some signature of its technology.

Christopher Paul Garetano was born in New York and is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts - with a BFA in film. Christopher is the creator and director of the award-winning docudrama, Montauk Chronicles (2015) He is the co-creator, executive producer and co-host of the History Channel's The Dark Files (2017). In 2019 Christopher created, executive produced and hosted his eight-episode investigative series, Strange World for the Travel/Discovery Channel networks. He is producing several new TV programs, beginning with his new feature-length special A Haunting We Will Go ( coming in October of 2023)
His first written work South Texas Blues will be published in early August.
Tonight, Thursday on FADE to BLACK: Dr. Bill Kousoulas and his wife Jacqueline will discuss their research based on the 1967 Silver Bridge Disaster in Point Pleasant WV and the mysterious connection to the many reports of UFOs, lights in the sky, and Mothman phenomenon in that area.
Bill’s life-long interest in the paranormal began in the late seventies with the original Project UFO series that aired on Sunday night television. In 2003, he was introduced to The Mothman Prophecies movie, and it truly changed my life. Since then, he has read nearly all of John Keel’s research, as well as the works of similar authors including Gray Barker and Andy Colvin. Since 2016, Bill and his wife Jaci have visited Point Pleasant regularly, and they become friends with several area residents, including the late Carolin Harris, co-founder of the Mothman Festival. Bill holds a doctorate in psychology, with a focus on post-traumatic growth. Jaci is a retired USPS Postmaster and a current business owner/operator. She
specializes in research, data analytics, and “connecting the dots” between intuition, perception, and reality.
